Reduces clotting

You want it measured: too eager and it seals arteries; too weak and you bruise and bleed.
In depth
Platelet activation and aggregation — the fast arm of clotting that plugs a wound, and builds the arterial clot.
What drives it
Blood flow (nitric oxide) reduces it.
The endothelial brake. Verbatim: 'Platelet adhesion to collagen fibrils and endothelial cell matrix was inhibited completely by NO but only partially by prostacyclin' (PMID 2825688). In vitro on isolated platelets; the NO-deficiency link to arterial thrombosis is association, not a trial. PMID 2825688
The cell's go-signal reduces it.
The platelet brake. Verbatim: CME-1 'inhibits human platelet activation by activating adenylate cyclase/cyclic AMP' (PMID 25294588), with a pharmacological counterfactual - SQ22536, an adenylate cyclase inhibitor, reversed both the cAMP rise and the aggregation inhibition. Five unrelated molecules on this blend converge here. cAMP is a general second messenger; the edge claims only that raising platelet cAMP lowers platelet activation. PMID 25294588
Lipid messengers increases it.
NBK539817 — The thromboxane axis - what aspirin acts on. Retrieved from the safflower work measuring the thromboxane arm alongside 'platelet aggregation (p<0.01); APTT prolonged', and from the cocoa Circulation trial. `eicosanoid` is a class node that also carries prostacyclin, which opposes aggregation - the edge is drawn on the net aggregatory direction. On this blend cocoa was null on the arachidonic-acid route, so the class is not uniformly addressed by the formula.
What it drives
It increases Clot formation.
The fast arm. Verbatim: 'Arterial thrombi are rich in platelets and form at the sides of or around ruptured atherosclerotic plaques' (Eur Heart J, PMID 28039338). Arterial only — venous thrombi are fibrin- and red-cell-rich. PMID 28039338
Blends that modulate it
Each blend page names this pathway and carries the study behind its claim.
