In mice carrying the Machado-Joseph mutation, cordycepin cleared the toxic ataxin-3 clumps the disease piles up, by pushing cells to throttle protein-making and raise recycling instead.
In mature fat cells, Cordyceps militaris extract raised the active form of the second lipase, and the fat droplets shrank.
