Niacin receptor
You want this one known before anyone stacks a B-vitamin. Nicotinic acid is named in the same family as lactate and short-chain fats — signals that bind their own receptors on the fat cell and inhibit the messenger that drives release. This is not a theoretical concern: nicotinic acid is sold as a supplement and used clinically for blood lipids, so it is a plausible companion to a fat-release product, and it works against it at this receptor.
In depth
The receptor through which nicotinic acid shuts fat release down.
What drives it
Ketone fuel increases it.
Beta-hydroxybutyrate is the endogenous agonist of GPR109A/HCAR2. doi 10.1002/advs.202003410
What it drives
It reduces The cell's go-signal.
A supplement that works against this product. 'nicotinic acid and neuropeptide y can also conduct anti-lipolytic effects via binding to their respective Gi-coupled receptors... GPR109A and Y1R to inhibit cAMP formation' (doi 10.3389/fphys.2022.826314). Nicotinic acid is sold as a supplement and used clinically for blood lipids — a plausible companion to a fat-release product that opposes it here. doi 10.3389/fphys.2022.826314
