The vibrant red Beet Root or the more common name Beet is a vegetable super food that has a taste that takes some getting used to and has been linked to increased stamina and blood flow as well as lowering the blood pressure.
It was often used in the Middle ages as a treatment for Anemia. In the Roman era it was used as a treatment for fever, wounds, skin issues, and loosening of the bowels.
